🎉 Events

Events are the things you host — a tasting, a concert, a themed night, a workshop. They are published on your website as a programme and you can link to them from your newsletter.

You'll find them under Marketing → Events.

Availability

The module only appears for business types that have a programme — restaurant and event venue. For every other type it never shows up in the admin panel at all. See Pick your business type.

Creating an event

  1. Marketing → Events → Create.
  2. Fill in the Title.
  3. Set Starts at and Ends at (date and time).
  4. Add the Location — where it takes place.
  5. Write a Short description (shown in the listing) and Event details (the full page).
  6. Tick Published and save.
tip

While Published is unticked you can prepare the event at your leisure — it won't show up on the website.

An event can carry event links:

  • Facebook event URL
  • Instagram post URL
  • Tickets URL — ticket sales through an external seller
  • Event website URL

You can also set a custom button: a CTA label (e.g. "Reserve a seat") and the CTA URL it points to.

Events and reservations

An event does not create a reservation by itself — it is programme information. Guests book in the usual way through the booking form.

The exception is the event venue business type, which can sell tickets against the capacity of a specific event occurrence.

Tips

  • Write the short description so it stands on its own — it appears in listings and often in the newsletter too.
  • For a recurring event (e.g. "Tasting night"), create a separate record per date so guests see the actual day.
  • After an event has passed, keep it published only if you want it to stay in the programme archive. Otherwise unpublish it.
