📲 Staff Push Notifications
Push notifications are instant alerts that appear directly in the browser or phone of a logged-in staff member. As soon as a new reservation is assigned to a specific team member, they receive an instant notification.
How do push notifications work?
- Staff logs into the admin panel.
- The browser asks: "Do you want to receive notifications?" → Staff clicks Allow.
- From this point, staff receive notifications even when the admin is open in another tab or minimized.
How to activate push notifications?
1. Enable in settings
- Go to Reservations → Appointments Settings → Notifications.
- Make sure Push notifications are included in active channels.
- Ensure Enable push notifications is checked.
2. Grant browser permission
Each staff member must do this once:
- Log into the admin panel.
- Click the Activate push notifications button (usually in profile settings or the top bar).
- In the browser dialog, click Allow.
What do notifications contain?
Each push notification shows:
- Title: New reservation assigned
- Guest name
- Reservation date and time
- Name of the booked service
Clicking the notification opens the reservation details in the admin.
Testing push notifications
A manager can send a test push notification to verify the setup works:
- Go to Appointments Settings → Notifications.
- Click Send test push notification.
- Check whether the notification appeared on the staff member's device.
When won't push notifications arrive?
- Staff didn't allow notifications in the browser
- The device is off or the browser is closed
- Browser or OS settings are blocking notifications
- Push notifications are disabled in system settings
