👤 Role: Staff

The Staff role is for employees who work with reservations daily but don't need access to settings or billing.


Who should have this role?

  • Waiters and serving staff
  • Hosts and receptionists
  • Shift supervisors without full management access
  • Part-time workers

What Staff can do

Reservations

  • ✅ View all reservations
  • ✅ Create new reservations (phone, walk-in)
  • ✅ Edit existing reservations (add note, change table, change status)
  • ✅ Approve pending reservations
  • ✅ Mark reservations as Completed or No-show
  • ✅ Cancel reservations

Tables and occupancy

  • ✅ View tables and their occupancy
  • ✅ Assign a table to a reservation

Guests

  • ✅ View guest records
  • ✅ Add and edit menu items
  • ✅ Update the weekly menu

Waitlist

  • ✅ View and edit entries

What Staff CANNOT do

  • ❌ Change reservation system settings
  • ❌ Add or remove users
  • ❌ View or change billing and subscription
  • ❌ Edit website settings and pages

Push notifications for staff

After logging in, staff can activate push notifications to receive instant alerts when a new reservation is assigned to them.
