🪑 Managing Tables

Tables are the physical seating areas in your restaurant. The system lets you describe each table, set its capacity, and track occupancy in real time.

Where do I manage tables?

In the left admin menu, click Reservations → Tables.

Adding a new table

  1. Click Add Table.
  2. Fill in:
    • Table Name/Number — how you identify the table (e.g. "Table 1", "Window A", "Terrace 3")
    • Capacity — maximum number of guests (1–20)
    • Minimum Guests — fewest guests for whom this table should be used (prevents a large table from being assigned to just 2 people)
    • Location — where the table is situated
    • Features — additional attributes (window view, quiet corner, wheelchair accessible, etc.)
  3. Click Save.

Table locations

Each table has a location setting. This helps guests choose their preferred spot when booking:

LocationDescription
Indoor – MainStandard restaurant interior
Indoor – WindowSeat with an outside view
Outdoor – TerraceOutdoor seating
BarSeats at the bar
Private RoomEnclosed room for groups

Temporarily disabling a table

If you need to take a table out of service (repairs, VIP reservation, etc.):

  1. Open the table in the admin panel.
  2. Uncheck Available for booking.
  3. Save.

The table will no longer be offered in the booking form, but existing reservations are preserved.

Assigning a table to a reservation

Tables can be assigned automatically or manually:

  • Automatically: the system assigns the best available table based on capacity and guest preferences
  • Manually: a manager or staff member can open a reservation and select a specific table

Advanced table features (Pro or Max plan)

Higher plans offer additional options:

Sections / Zones

Group tables into named zones, e.g. "Main Floor", "Terrace", "Bar". Makes it easier to manage a large number of tables.

Merged Tables

For large groups, tables can be physically pushed together. Mark which tables are merged in the system — it will then correctly calculate the combined capacity.

Floor Plan Position

Enter X and Y coordinates for each table to see an interactive restaurant map in the admin panel.

note

Advanced table features are available from the Pro plan.

Grow plan — limits

On the Grow plan you can have a maximum of 20 tables. Once the limit is reached, the system will not allow adding another table.
