👥 Managing Staff

Staff are the people in your restaurant who handle and serve reservations. Each staff member can be assigned reservations and receive push notifications for new bookings.


Where do I manage staff?

In the left menu, click Reservations → Staff.


Adding a new staff member

  1. Click Add Staff Member.
  2. Fill in:
    • First Name and Last Name
    • Display Name — how the name appears in the reservation system and to guests (defaults to first + last name)
  3. Optionally:
    • Linked User Account — if the staff member has a login account, link it here
    • Available for Reservations — check this if this staff member takes reservations
  4. Click Save.

What does "Available for Reservations" mean?

This determines whether the staff member appears as a possible host when creating a reservation.

  • Checked — staff member appears in the list when creating a reservation and can be assigned bookings
  • Unchecked — staff member is not available for reservations (e.g. kitchen staff who don't interact with guests)

Linked User Account

Each staff member does not need a login account. The staff profile is used purely for tracking names and assigning reservations.

If you want the employee to log into the admin panel and manage reservations, create a user account (see Managing Users) and then link it to the staff profile.


Push notifications for staff

When a new reservation is assigned to a specific staff member, the system can send them an instant push notification directly to their browser or phone.

Grow plan — limits

On the Grow plan you can have a maximum of 10 staff members. Once the limit is reached, the system will not allow adding another.
