Your path through this help centre
This is the order that makes sense for a restaurant. The links lead into the shared half of the help centre — the steps there are the same for everyone, and the vocabulary is restaurant vocabulary, so it will read most naturally for you.

What you can skip
Room types and overnight stays (hotel), ticket sales as the main product (event venue) and per-person shift schedules (salon, clinic) are rarely what a restaurant needs. If your guests don't come for a specific person, you can leave schedules alone entirely.

Tables and the table map
Under Operations → Tables you create individual tables — name, capacity and location (main room, window, terrace, bar, private room).
Useful fields people often forget:

| Count / concurrent capacity | For a shared table seating several bookings side by side |
| Capacity counted per guest | When you sell seats at a large table rather than the whole table |
The table map then shows occupancy as a floor plan.
Booking a table
The guest picks a service, a day and a time. The system checks whether a suitable table is free — accounting for the service duration and for the buffer intervals you set on the service for preparation and clearing.

Events in a restaurant
Tastings and themed evenings are created under Marketing → Events. They appear on your website and can be sent out in a newsletter.
A restaurant can enable ticket sales on an event too — it works exactly as it does for an event venue. See Ticket sales.
