💇 Salon & barbershop
Salons and barbershops work the same way: the client picks a treatment, a person and a time. Capacity isn't tables but chairs and stations.
They are two different business types, though, and the admin panel differs in a couple of places. Where it matters, this page says so.

What you can skip
Menu, weekly menu, QR code and the event programme are restaurant and venue modules — they don't appear in a salon admin panel and you can pass over them here too.
Chairs and stations
Under Operations → Chairs (barbershop) or Operations → Stations (salon) you create the workplaces:

Treatments and their duration
Under Operations → Services you set out what you offer. For each treatment:
- Duration in minutes — this determines when the workplace is free again,
- Buffer before / after — preparation and clean-up time, which is also blocked,
- Requires staff assignment — turn this on when a specific person performs the treatment.
When a treatment has Requires staff assignment switched on, not only a piece of equipment has to be free but also a person who can perform it. Check the staff schedules.
Staff schedules
When everyone works differently, set it under Operations → Schedules. A schedule narrows the opening hours down to a specific person — including days off and holidays. For a treatment with staff assignment, the client then only sees the times that person actually works.

:::caution Beauty salons only The catalogue of treatment pages belongs to the beauty salon business type. If you run a barbershop you will not see Site content → Treatments in the admin panel, and you can skip this section — your services and their prices are set up in Operations → Services as usual. :::
Every treatment can have its own page with photos, a description and what's included. You'll find them under Website content → Treatments.
The quickest way is straight from the service: Operations → Services, open the treatment and click Open item page in the right-hand column. The page is created, filed under the listing and linked to the price.
